Mr. Hopkins is
the
Managing Director and Founder of Colchester Capital, LLC. Prior to founding
Colchester Capital, Mr. Hopkins was involved in investment banking for
over 17 years, principally at Deutsche Bank (and its predecessor Alex.
Brown & Sons), Goldman Sachs and Bear Stearns. He began his
investment banking career at Drexel Burnham Lambert.
Mr. Hopkins has worked on a variety of financing and
advisory assignments for companies in a wide range of industries.
Mr. Hopkins has extensive experience in Restructurings and Leveraged
Finance. He has worked on, among others, the restructurings of TWA,
Ames Department Stores and Leaseway. He has also been the principal
banker on dozens of high yield financings for such companies as Fisher
Scientific, Radnor Holdings, Petro Stopping Centers, TV Azteca, Furon and
Columbus McKinnon. Mr. Hopkins has also originated and executed
IPO's, secondary equity offerings and convertible debt offerings, as well
as merger and acquisition transactions. Mr. Hopkins has extensive
experience with companies in the technology, healthcare and industrial
sectors.
Prior to investment
banking, Mr. Hopkins worked as an attorney for four years, focusing on
litigation and general corporate work.
Mr. Hopkins has a B.A. from Dartmouth College, a J.D. from
Villanova University School of Law and an M.B.A. from Wharton.
